It’s been a crazy few months but a few weeks ago a friend recommended watching “The Secret.” The movie about the Law of Attraction.  It changed my life.  That night I felt so silly because after watching it it became so clear that I did need to take responsibility for the things happening around me.

Let me tell you about the next day.

I woke up and the first thing I did is go through and list off the things that I am grateful for.

Next, I listed out the things I wanted or wanted to happen.

Then I started my day.  This was a Sunday and I was having company over to have a little jam session.  to prepare for the party I needed to stop and do a little grocery shopping.  I picked up everything I needed including 2 bottles of Ginger Ale.  Now I should include, although I doubt words could describe, that Ginger Ale is my absolutely favorite drink and picking up a couple of bottle was a common thing.  Now, while I was checking out, for some unknown reason I felt compelled to put the bottles of Ginger Ale back.  I can’t explain it, I just thought, “I don’t really need these today.”

As I was driving home I remembered I had a gift certificate for CVS, so I thought I’d stop in and get a couple more things for the party and get my Ginger Ale from there.  I walk in and the first thing I notice on the first shelf is Peanut Butter M&Ms, and they are on sale “Buy 1 Get 1 Free.”  I snatched up two bags and go and get the other items I wanted plus 2 bottles of Ginger Ale.  I get up to the check out counter and the cashier tells me that they had just got in the larger 2 liter Ginger Ale bottles and they were on sale for cheaper than the smaller 40oz bottles.  Crazy.

I left with a  huge smile, and while not exactly what I expressed in my thoughts earlier that morning certainly made all the more powerful simply because I maintained a positive attitude all day.

next up…$100,000

It’s been almost 1 year since I switched to a MacBook Pro.

Wow.

It has literally changed my life.  It has allowed to experiment with all sorts of creative processes and find the things I’m passionate about.  iLife and iWork let you play around with all sorts of media at the consumer level, discover whether it’s the web, or music, or photos, or combinations, and show off to the world.

I’m still trying to figure out where I fit in so I’ll just keep plugging away.

There are just so many things to talk about.  let’s get started.
